Certification Upon successful completion student will be awarded a Qualification certificate in “Certificate III in Civil Construction Plant Operations”.
Pre-requisite
  • You must be over 18 years of age.
  • Basic written and verbal English
  • Have a USI ID
  • Achievement of CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry. (You must provide the RTO training certificate NOT THE WHITE CARD).

Minimum of 2 years practical work experience.
Assessment method

You will be required to submit the following:

  • Work history.
  • Employer references from a licence holder in the qualification requested.
  • Completed Site documents showing your direct involvement (SWMS, Quotes, Pre-starts, Meeting minutes, Checklists)
  • Answer relevant Knowledge questions.
  • Undertake an interview with the Assessor.
  • Submit photos of completed work.
  • Create a video of you performing particular tasks
Payment A deposit of $1,500 with enrolment, balance of payment with final submission of evidence
Technical requirements Courses are conducted over the internet.  As such, you will need access to a suitable computer or tablet device with a connection to the internet.  You need to have access to a webcam and/or video recording device such as a mobile phone. Most home computers are suitable.

Plant Operators are responsible for operating heavy machinery and equipment used on industrial sites and in manufacturing processes. This can involve excavation, crushing rocks, transporting materials, digging trenches and all kinds of other tasks.
